Back in my day… Some of my most precious memories are my pop pops beloved bird room… He cared for his birds like they were his babies… After nana passed was a dark time for him… He often would sleep on the floor of his bird room on a blanket to be close to his birds… Escaping his lonely bed he once shared with Olive Mae. The birds were synonymous for me with arriving to South Street… His humble little two story victorian bungalow complete with ginger bread and porch rockers… Shutters that actually closed for storms… And on a beautiful spring or summer day you could hear the birds from the open windows… And the sound of pop pop now now… Ok ok its lunch time here I come. It was like magic for me… Complete with bullies sensing I wasn’t one of them. Which is within view of pops kitchen window… He made sure he could see Olive Mae’s tombstone every day… Planting a mimosa tree as she loved her shade. They have flocked up my life in the most amazing way. This offering is for ONE unused unwashed prestigious barkcloth fabric… With a design aesthetic so Art Deco Miami Beach circa the late 1930’s. I can imagine a rich dark green velvet sofa with complimenting pillows that create the kind of ambiance South Beach and barkcloth have become renowned for… Adding electric pops of colors so crazy fabulous it has my brain going haywire! Electric lemon chartreuse and lime literally reach out and grab you by the COLLAR… With white and deepest darkest chocolate accents. Large tropical birds take center stage amidst the crazy flora… Coming together so perfectly… Tiny little parakeets fly about…. Measures 49 inches wide x 82 inches long of unused unwashed old stock in brand new condition. But who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience.
